or have the politician’s yet again show us their true colours? When the whole of the public see them as greedy scounderels who are looking to maximise “their” own financial position, all they can say is “we are working within the rules”!
Sorry, but the vast majority have shown one too many times that they are in the “politics game” for what they can get out of it. Greedy buggers looking to bleed the hard working general public dry. Is there a politican who we feel is fit to hold the honour of representing the people?

or is the Labour Government completely and uttelry inept! I mean look at the latest budget announcement and while most high earners will receive no sympathy over the new to be introduced 50% tax on earnings over £150,000, I do not understand the logic behind the proposed Benefit in Kind classification on final salary pension contributions.
If as part of the employment package one recieves a final salary pension, better they are suitable financed for retirement than having to join the long queue for those complaining about the State pension.
In fact, as usual, I believe this is a reaction to the public complaints with regards to the Pension fiasco surrounding the Banking Big Cats and how they messed up on those specific few individuals. How does the Labour Government react, too late and by penalising the vast majority of good senior managers who did not get this Country in the pickle it now finds itself, and who we will rely on to get us out, because let us be honest, we cannot rely on Politicians to rise to the challenge can we. No, they are too busy bickering over how they can screw as much personal expenses out of the system for themselves.

or has the appeal of Strictly Come Dancing been murdered by the BBC not handling the “power of the people” vote in the correct manner?
Either it is a Light Entertainment Program, where you ask for the public to vote, and regardless of the result, you accept that is the public vote, or it is a dance contest and the judges only make the decision on the quality of those performing each week? Is it that difficult to grasp?
No, what was unacceptable was that the resentment of both the judges and the fellow contestants of John and Kristina were rude from about week 3 and it built up to the appalling comments by the judges in week 8, for which the public voted in greater numbers to show that “bullying” of this kind is not acceptable. Week 9, suprise suprise, the judges went all coy and tried a charm offensive to try and not “stir” the public support for John. Sorry, but we are not that dim!
If the BBC has any balls, which I strongly believe they do not, and if they want to save the program from becoming extinct at its height of popularity, then they need to signal now that changes for next season will occur, one of which should be a new line up of judges. ALL 4 should go, no excuse, they are getting too big for their own boots and think the show is about them, sorry it is not!
Once upon a time, this show was about raising money for Children in need, or so I believed, what happens to the money from the calls now, there is no obvious informaiton on the web site to tell you?

or has Haringey Council committed a crime under the “Corporate Manslaughter” Act?
Surely, in light of the previous cock-ups at this council over the Victoria Climbie case, if elected or appointed representatives of the Council have failed in their responsibility to carry out with due care the roles assigned to them, and that includes looking after your citizens, then they should be held accountable and charged.
Lets face it, if a company director had previously had a customer killed while visiting the business premises, and this was found to be due to neglect in health and safety procedures, if this person got off with a serious ticking off, they surely would not if it happened a second time.

or is the Motor Industry living in cuckoo land? SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) are asking the Government for financial support to boost the sales of new cars.
The FACT is that for the past 5 years at least, the 2.3 million new cars registered in the UK have been “laundered” in to the market through heavy discounting to dealers, short-term hire companies and even though the back door to Used Car Supermakets.
The FACT is the market is not 2.3m cars but probably a natural 1.5 to 1.8m cars. Manufacturers accept this is so and reduce the build volume and number of dealers, of which the vast majority are making no money.
If car prices need to go up due to lower volumes, so be it. But stop trying to blame the problem on someone else, and stand up and accept your current distribution model and volume expectation is not fir for purpose.

or is there absolutely NO sympathy for the cold hearted “wheelers and dealers” who “bet” on the prospects of a companies share price going down, anf they caught a massive and costly cold!
I have speculated for some time that these people have been responsible for driving the market price down, regardless of the impact it has on others, whether it jobs, loss if investment and pensions, all for their individual greed.
What’s more, how did they get caught out on Porsche buying in to VW? even I knew that they had been increasing the share holding, what did they think they were going to do about it?
It is about time the UK Government followed the US and made this activity illegal.
If it was not for the fact that us normal everyday citizens of this great country will end up picking up the cost of this error at the end of the day, it would be funny!

or has RB and JS been made scapegoats for poor BBC management and practice?
While I did not hear the broadcast, well I wouldn’t seen as I don’t rate Brand, having read the transcript I have to say that the pair were well out of order. That said, as it was a pre-recorded program WHO having listened to what is nothing else but lewd offensive tripe, sanctioned it to be broadcast?
Lets face it, JR we know can sometimes slighlty over-step the line of decency, but having been led by the cretin known as RB, they jumped well over and missed the target of “humour” by some distance.
Back to the BBC, if this is the best that they can come up with as a program, then lets stop the future employment of Brand and put on repeats of previously funny and interesting broadcasts from bygone years.
If heads do role, and while I would make Brand number 1 on the list, i believe controllers or managers at the BBC should be ahead of Ross on the potential list of casualties.

Is it just me… or has the Eurovision Song Contest turned into a Political farce?
let’s be honest, Eurovision was never a “serious song” contest, it always had its wacky and even silly songs in its ability to entertain but the voting would always be a more reflective view on the quality of the song, albeit sometimes the entertainment view could be significant.
Anyway, that said, the blatant voting between the Eastern Block and Scandanavian Countries has made this “light entertainment” program a complete joke. I say we should withdraw our significant funding of this “politics show” and see how they feel when they have to dig deeper in their pockets to pay for it.

is it just me…or have the England Crickety team selectors got no bottle?
how many times do the current “so called batsmen” have to fail before they get dropped? It would not be so bad if it was just one of them in an innings which slipped up, but to see 4,5 or 6 of them failing to make a reasonable “knock” is not acceptable.
When a young BOWLER such as Broad becomes a consistent better batsmen than those who should do better, the selectors need to shake it up. No action is not an option, otherwise the selectors are culpable of “bottling” the tough decision needed.

or is there now a complete lack of respect shown by fellow drivers on the road? Today alone, i have seen numerous drivers making under-taking moves on the motorway, in fact, I would say I was the odd one out for not so!
Also, the number of drivers who double park, do illegal u-turns, and STILL talk on their mobile phones, it’s becoming a war on the roads!
So, where are the Police while all this illegal action is going on…oh, yes. they are busy doing paper work, or giving talks to school children about why not to take drugs? get real!
