I was upset to read in the news today, about the man who was tortured for his PIN numbers for his credit cards and then was murdered by having his throat cut. Now the Police are using Crimewatch to try and get public support for locating this person responsible.
Now I use the term person only as a reference as whoever was responsible for such a horric crime cannot have any normal human emotion or it would not have happened.
What really pisses me off, is that if and when this individual is caught, and is sentenced to life in prison as this is currently the maximum punishment available in the UK, it will cost us tax payers tens of not hundreds of thousands of pounds to protect and look after this monster for the rest of their lives.
My solution, kill the sicko and save us the trouble and the cost. These scum do not deserve any human right privileges, lets cut to the chase and either shoot, hang, electrocute or fatally inject and rid the world of the evil that exists.
However, despite the majority of the voting public in the UK supporting such an idea, the “do gooders” speak on our behalf and no politicians have the balls to put it to the public in a vote, typical!
As I talked about in an earlier rant, Prison overcrowding is being resolved by releasing scum early or not sending them in the first place, committed rape, naughty boy, have a slap on your wrist and do 100 hours public service, yeah right, that’s really going to stop them!
If I had my way, the prisons would not be over crowded as a good majority would be dead and we would save a friggin fortune in tax not looking after them. ANY person who commits first degree murder, cheerio, bye bye BANG BANG your dead!

I have been considering buying a replacement car and like the majority these days I have been searching for my ideal car on the web.
Now I came across this site Carsite.co.uk which on the face of it sounds a good idea, no hassle or pressure selling, reserve your car for £75, fully refunded if not happy and all cars fully inspected by the RAC. Sounds good?
They say that the cars are direct from a leasing company and as they are cutting out the middle man, other Car dealers I presume, then they can save you money.
Well I searched on the site and found a car that met with my initial criteria, it looked good value and when at a glance I compared it to my local dealer, it was a couple of hundred pounds cheaper, so better in my pocket than theirs I thought.
I was discussing this with a friend who took a closer look. They pointed out to me that yes the car was inspected by the RAC and you got a full report on any wear and tear issues and minor damage to the car, but they did not actually make the car cosmetically correct, so in fact you would be buying a "new" car which looked a little tired possibly. Also, I had not looked at the mileage and this was 50,000 on a 3 year old car, 20,000 more than average and while fully maintained by the leasing company it had done that wear and tear on its components.
So, on reflection the car at Carsite was cheaper but it had higher mileage and minor scuffs and scrapes. The car is not fully service prior to deliver, unless it needs one.
I decided to go visit a dealer of the brand I was looking ot buy and they too had a car similar in mileage but this had been either well looked after or had some corrective paintwork done. It came with 12 months warranty and was fully service prior to delivery, but it was £200 more expensive or so I thought.
After being able to have a test drive in the car, see the file on the vehicle, previous owner service history etc, I tried my luck and said “if you can knock £200 off the price I will buy today” they agreed straight away! (Maybe I should of asked for £300!)
So, do you buy a car on-line with the odd scuff and scrape without being service and high mileage, or do you go to your local dealer and get what you deserve, a new shiny new car and a good deal?

or have the lunatics taken over the Government?
Reports in this weekends papers say that thousands, yes thousands of offenders who have committed serious crimes including rape, conspiracy yo murder and assault have been let off with warnings!
Incredulous I know, but this is all about current prisons not having sufficient room for the number of offenders we need to incarcerate. So, we the public are put at risk by not locking up some “scum” who have committed serious crimes, and guess what, they must be laughing out loud at us lot, what commit rape, serious assault and all I get is a telling off and community service, they must be really scared by that and I am sure committing to being good members of society, NOT!
Come on, where is the Politican or party that will take this matter seriously and commit to building more prisons and locking ALL who commit serious crime up for a long time. Don’t even get me started on the death penalty, I will save that for a later rant!
I believe you commit the crime, you do the time.

or has Alan Duncan, the Shadow Prisons Minister showed how “out of touch” politician’s are with us, the masses?
David Cameron appears to understand how strong the public feel about sentencing not been tough enough and how outraged we are to read about crimes committed by criminals who have had early release for “good behaviour” which is code for “we need the room!”
Alan Duncan said that the phrase Prison Works is just “repulsively simplistic” and thinking that locking them up is the answer is “Key Stage 1 Politics”.
Now, I am prepared to accept a debate on how we integrate offenders back in to society, I am fair and even minded to accept that if a person has served their “due time” for the crime, then we need to provide suitable alternatives for them so they do not have the 1 option of returning to crime.
All that said, the crucial part to gain the confidence of the public is that offenders will be punished and serve an adequate time in prison. As i have ranted before on this subject, if we are short of space in prison then we need to build more prisons. One idea is to use the labour force that is currently incarcerated and teach them the skills while building future prison buildings.
It is time that politicians starting listening to the majority and not to the small minority of liberal “do gooders” who would rather invite the criminal around for a cuppa and a chat, in their belief that they can be rehabilitated.

Or are we completely losing touch with reality when it comes to the game of cricket? I mean, Andrew Strauss has not had a great run of form recently, but likewise it has not been rubbish either. So, when AS decided he needed a rest before getting ready for the battle of the Ashes, the media start to have a go!
Sorry, the Captain of the team is thinking ahead for the big matches we demand we win, and we want to have a pop! Come on, if you want to have a go at English cricket, turn you bazooka’s on the Selectors for sheer incompetence or the woeful batting display yet again of Kevin Pietersen or Alistair Cook.
The Selectors have nominated Cook to be the likely stand-in for Strauss has they say he needs the experience. Whatever happened to gaining experience in the County league’s? If we need an experienced captain, who has shown bottle and fight, we need to be selecting Collingwood and not Cook.
Bleeding selectors I am sure they must all be secret Aussie’s!

has the last few days supply of Grit or Rock Salt is about to be used, I have been listening on the radio to the heated debates on whether or not we should have had more supplies stockpiled and as the Government has now taken over the responsibility for allocation of future supplies, what is going to happen.
The Government recommendation to local councils is to keep only 6 days supply in hand. Now thankfully most council’s kept more than this, but the argument is how much should we hold.
Now my rant is not about whether we should have 12 days or 120 days, no, my rant is on the argument by politicians that this weather is so severe it is a once in 30 years ocurrance and we should not be preparing for such low risks.
Now my problem with this is that successive Governments have invested Billions of pounds in secret underground facilities for key ministers and the important and no doubt “pretty” people to safeguard them in case of a Thermal Nuclear Attack.
Now I have not been down to Ladbrokes to check the odds, but I suspect you could get 1000/1 on an attack this year. SO my rant is, the so called bleeding politicians will argue that we should not complain about the salt stock levels as it is a 1 in 30 chance of it happening, but they invest Billions on something that has never happened other than 2 atomic weapons discharged in 1945 and they expect us to accept they are right!!!

or have the England Cricket Selectors ducked another important decision by leaving Kevin Pietersen in the starting 11 for today’s crucial test match against South Africa?
The Guy is so low on confidence he could walk under a closed door, and you do not need to be a cricketing genius to see he needs to gain some batting experience amongst lower quality players to build back up to the truly great batsmen he is capable of being.
The selectors had 2 options, 1 could of been to drop him down the batting order, maybe giving Ian Bell the number 3 slot and given KP some time to adjust with a worn ball and tired bowlers, or as I would feel fit, save him from the embarrassment of another low score and poor exhibition of batting.
Why do the selectors do this, time and time again they “keep faith” with an out of form player, waiting for the day it returns and they can then say presumably, “we did the right thing”!
Well, surely we have batsmen capable of achieving an higher score than KP has managed in this series, we cannot be so low on batsmen that we have to play out of form players regardless? if that was the case, where is the drive and ambition to play at the top of your game?
The KP I saw this morning in Joburg is not the swaggering “cocky” one that stood up to Australia in the Ashes series and ran down the crease to smash the God of Spin Shane Warne?
Do I blame KP? not as much as I do the pathetic and incompetent selectors, of which any half a dozen cricketing supporters would do a better job!

or are the drivers on the roads with cars completely covered in snow, maybe with the exception of a small clearing on the windscreen and side windows, complete Dick’s!
I mean, they are a danger to themselves and others, should they break suddenly and the 6 inch blanket of snow on the roof slide forward, which would clearly be too much for the windscreen wipers to deal with, and before you know it they are driving either in to a pedestrian on the pavement, or an oncoming vehicle.
But these Dick’s don’t give a sod about you and me, no they are all “me, me, me” and they are not the least bit concerned for the safety of others. Also, they are driving around in the early morning or early evening with snow covering their lights, so they are otherwise invisible to other drivers, other than you see what is a mobile snow sculpture coming towards you, driven by a Dick!

The Daily Mail today carried the sad news that the UK is now ranked 25th in the world with regards to the quality of life offered.
Now I have to say I was shocked by the headline, you know, really, 24 other places offer a better life than the UK? Really?
Well, upon reading the article, I discover Czech Republic and Andorra are ahead of the UK! And to rub salt in to the wound, France is number 1 for the 5th year running! BLOODY HELL, we save the frigging French in 2 World Wars and this is the deal, we are 24 place below them in the league of quality of life, man, life sucks!
So, once again a survey tells us what a great job (not) successive Governments have done in breaking this once great Country of ours!

Or are you fed up of reading about how the “Snow and Ice” have caused all the travel chaos on the UK roads?
Well I am sorry to have to correct the great British reporting system, but it was not a “snow man” driving the car in front of me today at 10mph! Now, before you react, I fully understand and support that you have to at all times drive to the conditions of the road, but in this instance 20mph would still have been extremely careful.
If the blithering idiots who clearly cannot drive in these conditions, and I do accept that might be as a result of them owning a rear wheel drive car which is about as manoeuvrable as a shopping trolley on an ice rink, then stay of the bleeding roads!
I have to fully praise the public transport bus drivers in my area, as they have done a great job trying to keep this method of transport available, but sadly, too often an abandoned car blocks the route and sadly spoils the day for everyone.
If you or your car is unable to deal with the conditions on the road, DO NOT try to get there with a “come what may” attitude, stay off the roads for those who are competent, including our fine public service drivers and let the roads be free of you. If this was at all possible, I believe you would see that the UK is no different to other Countries who deal with this type of weather on a more frequent basis.
