or has the appeal of Strictly Come Dancing been murdered by the BBC not handling the “power of the people” vote in the correct manner?
Either it is a Light Entertainment Program, where you ask for the public to vote, and regardless of the result, you accept that is the public vote, or it is a dance contest and the judges only make the decision on the quality of those performing each week? Is it that difficult to grasp?
No, what was unacceptable was that the resentment of both the judges and the fellow contestants of John and Kristina were rude from about week 3 and it built up to the appalling comments by the judges in week 8, for which the public voted in greater numbers to show that “bullying” of this kind is not acceptable. Week 9, suprise suprise, the judges went all coy and tried a charm offensive to try and not “stir” the public support for John. Sorry, but we are not that dim!
If the BBC has any balls, which I strongly believe they do not, and if they want to save the program from becoming extinct at its height of popularity, then they need to signal now that changes for next season will occur, one of which should be a new line up of judges. ALL 4 should go, no excuse, they are getting too big for their own boots and think the show is about them, sorry it is not!
Once upon a time, this show was about raising money for Children in need, or so I believed, what happens to the money from the calls now, there is no obvious informaiton on the web site to tell you?

or has Haringey Council committed a crime under the “Corporate Manslaughter” Act?
Surely, in light of the previous cock-ups at this council over the Victoria Climbie case, if elected or appointed representatives of the Council have failed in their responsibility to carry out with due care the roles assigned to them, and that includes looking after your citizens, then they should be held accountable and charged.
Lets face it, if a company director had previously had a customer killed while visiting the business premises, and this was found to be due to neglect in health and safety procedures, if this person got off with a serious ticking off, they surely would not if it happened a second time.

or is the Motor Industry living in cuckoo land? SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) are asking the Government for financial support to boost the sales of new cars.
The FACT is that for the past 5 years at least, the 2.3 million new cars registered in the UK have been “laundered” in to the market through heavy discounting to dealers, short-term hire companies and even though the back door to Used Car Supermakets.
The FACT is the market is not 2.3m cars but probably a natural 1.5 to 1.8m cars. Manufacturers accept this is so and reduce the build volume and number of dealers, of which the vast majority are making no money.
If car prices need to go up due to lower volumes, so be it. But stop trying to blame the problem on someone else, and stand up and accept your current distribution model and volume expectation is not fir for purpose.
