Prison Overcrowding, the answer
Posted by Rita at 9:11 pm in Politics

Is it just me…..or is the Government failing in its responsibility of “duty of care” to the ?

When faced with the problem of over-crowded prisons, the “numpties” allegedly running the Country decide the answer to this problem is to either, a) not lock up in the first instance so called “soft crimes” or b) let offenders out of prison early!!

if you polled 1,000 or even 100,000 members of the public what they thought the solution should be, i believe the simple answer would be, BUILD MORE PRISONS. Why does the Government not suggest this option, it would cost money! Nice to know there is apparently a price at which “our” safety does not come first.

Petrol Prices
Posted by Rita at 9:03 pm in Motoring

Is it just me…. or do I remember when the motorists of the UK, accepting that it was driven by the haulage companies, showed there collective resentment at the price of fuel in September 2005, when the average price in the UK for petrol was 94.8p per litre and diesel 97.4p, by staging a number of blockades and protests?

So why, today, has the price hits up to £1.20p per litre for diesel are we doing nothing!

The Government must be rubbing their hands at the Treasury with all that additional tax being collected, while us poor drivers continue to pay through the nose.

John Prescott has bulimia?
Posted by Rita at 8:23 pm in Politics

Is it just me….or is John Prescott the least looking candidate for being a suffer of this terrible disease you have ever seen. I think john understands that being Bulimic means you have an eating disorder, and in fairness to John, looking in the mirror, he accepts that the “fine figure of a man” that is looking back at him is due to “stuffing his face” with the wrong food.

However, what John seems to not realise is that Bulimic’s also take drastic actions to ensure the food does not digest into the blood stream by either forcing themselves to br sick or taking laxitives, either way, not a pleasant way to live.

So, the question is, what does John Prescott benefit by making this claim, is it has many are saying all a PR stunt for promoting his new Autobiography, or his he just seeking attention, either way he is sick!

Mark Ramprakash for England

Is it just me… or have the England Selectors got it in for poor “old” Mark Ramprakash?

I accept that at the age of 38 he is no spring chicken and he will not be around for the next world cup, (or will he?) anyway, someone who has been playing so well, so consistently, how can he NOT be chosen to play for England.

why can we not have the fresh approach shown by Fabio Cappello in picking players who are in form Now, and not those players who may have in the past had a good spell, but continue to under perform. (Andrew Strauss for example)
